About Violet Crown Sessions
Our mission is to restore Austin's come-as-you-are culture and community through the arts.
The Violet Crown Sessions are inclusive events that showcase local artists and connect Austinites around our shared culture.
​
Decades of accelerating growth have brought Austin to the point of threatening the very condition that made Austin prosperous: its culture.
The town's "come as you are" culture has become a scarce resource amid recent growth. Many resident populations who established its culture have been displaced, and local venues who provided an outlet for those contributions have been crowed out.
The Violet Crown Sessions aims to reverse that trend through a series of intimate live performances that strengthen the connection between Austin residents and its artistic roots. We bring Austin's culture back into the city center by sponsoring events for Austin artists - musicians, painters, photographers - who create self-expressive content. ​

Violet Crown Sessions envisions a future where Austin's artistic community and culture continues to thrive. We aim to celebrate the vibrant artistic expressions and traditions that enrich our city so come meet us where the music is.

Will Glazener
Will is a native Austinite who loves music, people, and the outdoors - especially when they all come together.
​
At Violet Crown Sessions, Will shapes Austin's next chapter of growth around community and culture.
​
Will is a seasoned sustainability leader and climate tech expert with global experience in strategy and operations. He is currently COO at Terralytiq and formerly Associate Partner at McKinsey. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering degree from UT Austin.

AARAS SHAH
Aaras is a lover of live music and regular of Austin staples including Cabo Bob’s Burritos, Town Lake, Mayfield Park, Skylark, and Sahara Lounge.
At the Violet Crown Sessions, Aaras makes the arts & music scene in Austin more accessible for those who are interested but don’t know where to begin.
Aaras brings experience from government agencies, nonprofit institutions, and private sector, most recently a manager at Bain. He graduated with his BBA from UT Austin and an MBA from Booth Chicago.
Creative Director
Tiffany Chan
Tiffany is inspired by a love for their hometown and a passion to preserve Austin’s artistic soul.
At the Violet Crown Sessions, Tiffany curates inclusive and immersive experiences that blend art forms and connect people.
​
Community, well-being and art are three common threads to Tiffany's diverse background, which includes a B.S. in Textiles and Apparel Design, strategy consulting at McKinsey, and leadership at an independent school.

Granny Maggie
Granny Maggie embodies the spirit of being an Austinite, with over 80 years of experience living in Austin.
​
At the Violet Crown Sessions, Maggie shepherds the community as it grows, providing strategic, technical, and spiritual direction as a Senior Advisor.
​
With a B.S. from UT Austin in hand, Maggie brings a wealth of experience as a community leader and retired professional, enjoying roles across healthcare, community building, gardening, and neighborhood walks
